According to the 1871 census, my g.g. grandfather Henry Hall was a licensed
victualler at the Jolly Butchers pub in Stoke Newington. Henry Hall died in
1879 and at the time of his death, he was the licensed victualler at the
Admiral Keppel in Hoxton, Shoreditch. On the 1881 census, Henry Hall's son,
(also named Henry) was the licensed victualler at the
Admiral Keppel. My g.g.
grandfather Henry Hall had a son named Richard Hall who was the licensed
victualler at the Jolly Butchers in 1883. My g.g. grandfather Henry Hall was
married twice. After Henry's death, his second wife Beatrice remarried
Joshua Evans. Joshua was the licensed victualler of the Cricketers Arms at
Newington Butts in 1891. ***
