A great grandfather of mine who was a beerhouse/pub keeper. I have a census
form for him in 1901 when he was at 60 Central Street, Finsbury. Name of
Thomas Tilley Sibley. There is no pub name, just the house number so I was
wondering if this would have been the Watermans Arms. Thomas died in 1908 I
think, but my great grandmother continued to run it for a couple of years, I
believe, until she re-married. It would be quite a co-incidence if it was
the Watermans Arms as her father and brother were both lightermen on the
Thames. ***
