Harriet (Listed as Hannah in the census) Lowe's maiden name was Griffiths and it was quiet common for male sons to have the mothers maiden name incorporated as part of their full name.
Mirriam Eleanor Lowe is my Great Grandmother who went on to marry William Jabez Cole my Great Grandfather. They married Tuesday July 5th 1898. He is Publican/Resident at The Roding Hotel, Leigh Road, East Ham between 1912 & 1917. William Jabez Cole died on 22/07/1918, a newspaper cutting from a local newspaper shows the magistrate granting permission for his wife Mirriam Eleanor Cole to carry on with the business and had the license transferred to her name. From the 1901 Census William and Mirriam Cole lived in The Flying Scud 76 Rathbone Street. John Thomas Lowe is at the Bell & Anchor by 1901. ***

Smith & Son dynasty) in 1895 West Ham later at the Denmark Arms, whilst Martha’s sister Prudence Lowe went on to marry Harry Adam Smith the younger brother of George Arthur Smith, in 1899 West Ham. From the 1901 Census Prudence and Harry Smith were at The Abbey Arms Tavern, 384 Barking Road ***

Apologies for the delay in updates at present, but I suffer from BT Infinity. BT Infinity appear to have a severe shortage of trained engineers, hence my broadband not working for nearly a week, so far. The BT engineer has purportedly fixed the problem, and not bothered to visit. I apologise reservedly for the total lack of care by BT Infinity in this matter of NOT fixing my broadband. Have you tried Virgin broadband, allegedly faster according to Ofcom. I do not think that BT care, but I do!
