James Burren junior described himself as a victualler at Poplar at his marriage on 19 April 1873, but with no address for his premises – source marriage certificate ***

James Burren junior described himself as licensed victualler at the Northey Arms, Northey Street, Limehouse, at the birth of his son James Martin Burren on 25 November 1877 – source birth certificate – so presumably had taken over from (or working jointly with) his brother William John who was there in 1871 ***
