BETSHANGER is a parish, on the road from Richborough to Dover, is in Eastry hundred and union, lathe of St. Augustine, four miles south from Sandwich. The population in 1851 was 27. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. The living is a rectory, and held by the Rev. A. D. Morrice. Wonson is half a mile west.
