SANDHURST is a village and parish, seven miles S.W. from Tenterden, and seven miles S.E. from Cranbrook. The population in 1851 iras 1,236.
The church of St. Nicholas is an ancient building. The living is a rectory;
the Rev. _ Ridout is the incumbent.

POST-OFFICE. - John Barnes, Receiver. Letters arrive through Staplehurst. The
nearest Money Order Office is at Tenterden.
