William Thompson, publican of the Little Wonder from 1851 until his death in 1877, is my 4x great grandfather. His wife Martha continued living in the pub for a year or so after his death. In 1879 William Thompson's grandson Joseph William Willis was living at 19 Edwin Street (presumably helping his grandmother run the pub) along with his wife and young daughter (who was born at the Little Wonder). *
