My grandfather was owner of the Royal Oak in Lyham road, Brixton (demolished 2008). He was from Monaghan, Ireland and my Dad was born in the pub as far as I know. My Dad is dead 27 years and I never knew my Grandfather but we were often told about the pub in London. There is also a picture in the lost pubs of London site showing it's demolition.  ***
