My grandfather Henry John Richards was the publican here in 1906. My
grandfather was also a licensee of a beer house at
78 Newington
Causeway, Southwark in 1901 and licensee of the
Swedish Flag, 146 St George
Street, St George in the East, E1 in 1891. He died in 1909 and lived
at 9 Oswin Street, St Georges Road, Southwark. I wonder if this was also a
public House.
