Mile End Pubs history

At 14 Wentworth Place, Mile End Road in 1856; This pub was developed into a Music Hall in 1848 and rebuilt in 1884 as the Paragon Theatre of Varieties, after the original pub was destroyed by fire - the new premises could not really be considered a pub any more. By 1912 it had become the Mile End Empire and it is now the Genesis Cinema. **
