A listing of historical public houses, Taverns, Inns, Beer Houses and Hotels in Shoreditch, East London. The Shoreditch, East London Pubs listing uses information from census, Trade Directories and History to add licensees, bar staff, Lodgers and Visitors.
The following entries are in this format:
Year/Publican or other Resident/Relationship to Head and or Occupation/Age/Where Born/Source.
My GrGrGrandfather William Manning was a publican from some time before 1838
for about 20 years. I think this Robin Hood must have been demolished around
1859, because Stanfords 1862 map shows new streets, replacing Whitmore Place
and Grange Walk. (My ancestor Wm Manning died of TB in 1860) ***
