This pub appears to have been established in 1706, rebuilt in 1766 and was rebuilt again in its present form in 1927. By 1843 listed address is at 1 Green Bank, Wapping E1. It closed before 1983, but is still standing and in use as a café (2006). ** The Turks Head was later addressed as at 20 Tench Street, Green Bank by 1938 ***
