On the census of 1911 my great grandfather, Oliver Heinrich Bamberger and family are shown as operating dining rooms at 1 Kings Road. In a letter written by a now deceased great aunt she says”:

“They took much larger premises with first and second class dining rooms. This was the Elephant & Castle, an empty large public house”. I believe they operated from these premises until 1929 ***
