Westminster St Margaret index
This house stood at the eastern end of the high street, on the corner with Palace Avenue. Until some time after the 1871 Census, the north and south sides of Kensington High Street were numbered independently, and the Kings Arms was No. 1 on the north side. Then the street was renumbered, with odd numbers on the south and even on the north, and the Kings Arms became No. 2. At the 1891 Census, it was unoccupied, together with Nos. 4 -8, and all four properties were demolished soon after for the construction of the Royal Garden Hotel, opened in 1894. *
