Nelson, 24 Montpelier Place, Brompton, St Margaret, Westminster SW7

Westminster St Margaret index

[The premises are named in the 1861 and 1891 censuses and in the “Survey of London” Vol. 45, where I found the information on its rebuilding in 1938-9]. This beer house was on the north side of Montpelier Place. In 1861, the address is given as 11 Albert Street, suggesting it was on the corner of the two streets. It was rebuilt by the brewers Mann Crossman and Paulin in 1938-9, but is now a private residence. *
