Northgate Tavern, 36 Cornmarket, Oxford, Oxfordshire

This pub was established by 1794 as the Marquis of Granby. In around 1880 the name changed to the Leopold Arms and after 1907 it changed again to the Northgate Tavern at a time when half of the premises was sold off. The pub closed in 1971 and is now in retail use. **
