Alpheton is a parish and village 7 miles north west from Sudbury, 8 south from Bury St Edmunds and 3 north west from Lavenham, in the Western division of the County; in the Babergh Hundred.
The church SS Peter and Paul is in the early english style, Register dates from 1571.
