Badingham in Kellys 1879 Directory.
Badingham, situate on the tiver Alde, is a parish and large scattered village 4 miles north from Framlingham railway station and 91 from London, in the Eastern division of the county, Hoxne Hundred.
The church of St John the Baptist is in the perpendicular style, and now being restored (1879). The register dates from 1538.
