It appears to have closed in 1908 after magistrates refused to renew its licence. Note: This also documents the closure of the nearby New Moon, so the fire was not to blame after all. The Ship and an establishment called The Beehive are also mentioned. It doesn't say where the Beehive was, but I think it might have been a licensed restaurant of some description in or near the town centre ***
