Royal Oak Hotel, 18, 19 & 20 Castle Street, Hastings

In 1890 address is facing the sea, 18 & 19 Castle Street & Caroline Place. I have no idea when this former coaching inn closed, but the area was completely demolished and rebuilt after WW2. A glimpse of the building circa 1938 can be found here. It's in the lower part of the photo just left of centre with the still open Carlisle Hotel behind and to its left. The Argos store stands approximately where the Royal Oak once stood. ***
