My great great great grandfather Noah Mitchell was allegedly the landlord of the Noah's Ark in Brighton. However, my research indicates that it was his mother Martha Mitchell who was the "keeper beer shop" at the right address in 1841. Maybe it was her son's name that inspired the name of the pub? *
